Metallo Bronzo Brunito Ossidato

Sounds like a lot to say doesn't it? Metallo is a resin based metallic plaster that is applied by trowel onto the wall and has metallic attributes. The look is hard to explain, but I’ll do my best. It’s a mix between an authentic Venetian plaster and a metallic glaze. It has the organic movement of Venetian plaster, with a semi-luminous look and a rustic flare.

A basic application will require 3 passes on the wall; a primer coat then two finisher coats there after. More passes are required for advanced finishes.

Catalog colors are available in 4 metallic forms: Oro (gold), Bronzo (bronze), Argento (silver), and Rame (copper). There are 6 variations in each metallic finish and with an additional verdigris layer you can have 12 more advanced finishes of Metallo. That totals 36 colors and on top of that you can have different shades of each color by just adding less or more color.

Custom color ranges can also be achieved by tinting the finisher with the desired tints as well as mixing catalog color ranges to achieve the desired effect. So your options are limitless!

Once the final layer is applied the surface is polished to a semi-luminous finish.

The finish in the picture is Metallo Bronzo Brunito Ossidato which is 4 layers of Metallo. There is an additional Verde (verdigris) layer sandwiched between two layers of bronzo all on top of the primer coat. This finish is like nothing out on the market. I have looked at both Lusterstone and Shimmerstone. The color ranges and look, feel, and durability is lacking.

The pricing varies and will definitely be higher than your regular colorwash because of the advanced application process, the quality of the product, and the texture. The look is stunning. This finish is part of my advanced portfolio and price estimates are completed on site after measurements and other factors are taken into consideration. The walls must be smooth to apply this finish so we can either smooth out the walls or you can arrange that. We can give you instructions on wall preparation at the consultation period if you wish.

Metallo can be applied on walls, columns, ceilings, furniture, and fireplaces. It is for internal use only and cannot be used in showers where water is in direct contact unless it is waxed.
